Only two undefeated teams remain in the Big 12 as we head to Week 7, and those two teams — Oklahoma State and TCU — face off on Saturday afternoon. So by my math (carry the one . . . ) there will be just one undefeated team in the league standing after Saturday.
The stakes are high with the winner set to take over sole possession of first place in the Big 12 and into the catbird seat to the Big 12 title game to boot.
OSU has fared surprisingly poorly inside Amon G. Carter Stadium, TCU’s own turf, in recent years since joining the Big 12. TCU has an 8-5-2 all-time advantage in Fort Worth and has won every game against OSU in Fort Worth since 2016.
As the game unfolds and OSU tries to buck recent trends, we’ll be following along with live updates below. Updates will be added in reverse chronological order so the most recent developments will be top of page.
LIVE UPDATES
1ST QUARTER | 6:19: Dominic Richardson, an Oklahoma product who originally signed with TCU out of high school but landed at OSU after TCU took another running back in place of him, with a huge catch and run to pout OSU in scoring position.
1ST QUARTER | 8:15: OSU’s defense holding steady in the early going today. Forced a three-and-out on TCU’s first offensive possession and didn’t allow TCU to cross mid-field on its second drive. Horned Frogs QB Max Duggan is 4-of-5 passing for 24 yards. They’ve rushed three times for a combined 15 yards.
1ST QUARTER | 10:25: Holy. Smokes. 29-yard touchdown rush for Spencer Sanders on OSU’s sixth offensive play of the day. Cowboys up 7-0 early. There was a ton of rumors about a possible Spencer Sanders game leading into the game, but looked very sharp on the first drive. Completed two of his three passes for 46 yards and had two rushes for 20 yards.
